
The Small Isles ( Eigg, Rum & Canna ), Knoydart, Moidart & Ardnamurchan

A very leisurely holiday on the west coast, based at the fishing village of Mallaig, covering some of the wildest mainland scenery and including a day sailing to the Isle of Eigg and an optional sail to either Rum or Loch Nevis, Knoydart.

5 days £390 + £40 Single Supplement
Monday Pitlochry, Grampian Mountains, Dalwhinnie, mountains of Lochaber, "Road to the Isles", Glenfinnan to the West Highland Hotel in Mallaig.
Tuesday Five hours ashore on the Isle of Eigg - time to explore on your own.
Wednesday The option of sailing (c.£16) to Rum (some four hours to experience this unique island including a guided tour (c.£6) of the very interesting red sandstone Kinloch Castle) arriving in Mallaig at 5.0 pm. It is possible not to land at Rum and continue on to Canna, but there is only 1 hour 50 minutes ashore.
OR sailing at 10.15 the short distance to the remote settlement of Inverie (on the Knoydart Peninsula) and have lunch and time to explore. Sailing at 3.00 pm to Loch Nevis (we have had some fantastic trips among the mountains) arriving at Mallaig at 5.45 pm (c.£18).
N.B. None of this days sailings are included in the tour fare. Please advise me what you wish booked for you when making your tour reservation.
Thursday A full day tour through mountainous Moidart to the wilderness of the Ardnamurchan Peninsula - "one of the greatest drives in Scotland" (to quote the late esteemed Tom Atkinson)! To Ardnamurchan lighthouse - the most western part of the British mainland.
Friday Marvellous scenery throughout on our journey back to Glasgow - via Fort William, The Great Glen, Glencoe, Rannoch Moor and Loch Lomond.
