Departs Glasgow 9.30am. Tuesday 23 September 5 days £395
Day 1 Pitlochry, Grampian Mountains, Dalwhinnie, mountains of Lochaber, the Great Glen, Glen Garry, Cluanie, Loch Duich to Kyle of Lochalsh (4 nights).
Day 2 A very leisurely day among the Cuillin Mountains - to Loch Slapin, Blaven, the beautiful road to Elgol, with unrivalled mountain and sea views. Afternoon drive on the old drove road to Glen Arroch and Kylerhea.
Day 3 Through the dramatic splendour of Wester Ross to Loch Carron, Bealach Na Bo (Pass of the Cattle – highest in the west) to Applecross (one of the earliest seats of Christianity in Scotland). Over the North Applecross Road (fabulous views of the islands and the Torridon Mountains) to Shieldaig, Torridon Mountains. Return via Glen Shieldaig and Kishorn.
Day 4 To picturesque Plockton, Eilean Donan Castle, Pass of Mam Ratagan to Glenelg - the best preserved Iron Age brochs on the mainland. Hanoverian barracks at Bernera. Tremendous views of the Five Sisters of Kintail. Opportunity to take a trip across the Kyle of Kylerhea on Scotland's last turntable ferry.
Day 5 To Skye and ferry across the Sound of Sleat (with overwhelmingly beautiful views) to the fishing village of Mallaig, then “Road to the Isles” to Arisaig and Glenfinnan to Fort William. Via Glencoe, Rannoch Moor, Loch Lomond to Glasgow.
