Day 1     Through Renfrewshire to Wemyss Bay. Ferry across the Clyde to Rothesay, Isle of Bute. Across the island to Rhubodach, ferry to Colintraive and a beautiful drive beside the Kyles of Bute. Through the forests of Cowal to Strachur and Inveraray on Loch Fyne. Loch Awe, Pass of Brander and Loch Etive to Oban. Ferry to Craignure, Isle of Mull, then a drive beside the beautiful Sound of Mull to the picturesque fishing village of Tobermory. Three nights at the ***Western Isles Hotel overlooking the bay.

 

Day 2     Free morning in Tobermory. Afternoon tour to the magnificent scenery of north-west Mull - Dervaig, Calgary Bay, Ulva (views of the Treshnish Islands).

 

Day 3     Day tour of Mull - sacred Isle of Iona, via Salen, Loch Na Keal, Gribun Cliffs, Fionnphort. Return by Glen More.

 

Day 4     Ferry across the Sound of Mull to Lochaline, then through Morvern to Strontian. Over the mountain pass to Glen Hurich, Loch Doilet and Polloch, nestling among the forest. Over the Corran ferry to ***Onich Hotel. Two nights amidst some of the finest scenery in Scotland.

 

Day 5     Corran Ferry across Loch Linnhe to Ardgour and exquisite Loch Sunart, whose shores we follow to Glenborrodale, the Ardnamurchan Peninsula: Kilchoan, Ardnamurchan lighthouse, most westerly point of the British mainland.

 

Day 6     Ballachulish, Kinlochleven, Glencoe, wild Glen Etive, Rannoch Moor, Glen Orchy, Loch Lomond.
