Knoydart is a remote mountainous peninsula lying between Loch Hourn to the north and Loch Nevis to the south. The only road into the area is the longest no-through road in Britain - it runs 26 miles from Loch Garry past Loch Quoich to Kinloch Hourn. Several remote settlements at the western end of the peninsula are accessible only by boat. A desolate and awe-inspiring area.
